Now that public school is back in session and the springs are less crowded, we are inviting homeschoolers to join Paradise Paddle Adventures and State Park attendant Victoria on a fun, educational day of adventure on the Ichetucknee River! Ms. Victoria and Adventure Guide April will be guiding an enriching, fun and adventurous kayak paddle down the Ichetucknee river. Ms. Victoria has extensive knowledge of local wildlife, fauna and topography of the river and springs and will be sharing this knowledge with our guests during the paddle. Bring your lunch, drinks, snorkel/mask, water shoes and sun protection and let us handle the rest! There will be time for fun, swimming and lunch at the end of the adventure. We are looking forward to seeing your kid's eyes light up with excitement while we share our local treasure the Ichetucknee River with them.
Included with your tickets are a kayak, personal flotation device, whistle and the experience of two knowledgeable river guides. In the notes section at time of payment indicate whether you request a double or single kayak.
Dates include August 29, September 5, 12, 19, and 26. Minimum of 10 people needed for event. Homeschoolers must be accompanied by an adult, no dropoffs allowed. We will be adding a printable, educational worksheet to accompany the day's learning. This event is not suitable for children under 5 or children who are not comfortable in and around the water.
