Florida State Parks help preserve not only resources such as trees, animals and water, but also the resources beneath our feet, including fossils.
We will start by discussing what our mystery fossil tells us about what the environment in Florida used to be, then we will end with a short story that weaves together all the information we learned. Afterward, participants who are inspired to make the pledge to protect our parks and share what they learn with others are encouraged to become Junior Rangers.
Program is geared to second through fifth graders, but everyone is welcome and can learn something new. Program will take place in an air-conditioned room.
