The City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department and the Wild Spaces & Public Places program invite you to celebrate the completion of a new neighborhood park. Join us for a ribbon cutting ceremony and light snacks.
Funded by the Wild Spaces and Public Places half-cent sales tax, the new park is a partnership between the City and the School Board of Alachua County. Improvements include a new playground with outdoor musical instruments and climbing features, picnic tables and benches, trash and recycling containers, striped basketball courts and goals, and painting the covered pavilion. Decorative fencing was also installed to prevent access to school buildings during non-school hours.
