Get ready for some arachnid adventures and insect encounters and discover the fascinating diversity of the arthropods! Learn about this group of animals that includes insects, scorpions, spiders and more with an expert and then take an easy hike in the park with us! We will also have an arthropod petting zoo and specimens from the UF entomology collection.
The event is $7/person and we require a paid adult to accompany their child/children. That fee will cover a single day State Park parking pass, the learning, the fun, and your hands-on activity!
We do recommend masks for museum activities and will practice social distancing. We also recommend comfy shoes, sunscreen, a hat, a reusable water bottle, and bug spray.
While it won't be part of the program, we suggest you bring a picnic so you can continue enjoying the park when we finish at 11:00am.
Audience: Best suited for children in grades K-6.
