LEAP (Leaders for Ethics, Animals, & the Planet) is an organization dedicated to transforming today’s youth into humane leaders and advocates. We are partnering with them to deliver a hands-on curriculum to children in grades 4th-8th on topics such as animal cruelty, climate change, and creating a more compassionate, sustainable food system!
Students will participate in workshops and earn badges for their accomplishments! This includes nature walks through both properties, creating enrichment for our residents, getting an assigned sanctuary buddy to get to know over the semester, and so much more.
The program is being run by Katelyn, our Humane Educator and Outreach coordinator. She is a former 8th grade science teacher who has experience with children of various ages, backgrounds, and needs!
Meetings will take place approximately every other Saturday from 11 am-1 pm starting on January 17th!
Plant-based snacks will be provided!
