Ornithologist Dr. Andy Kratter is the collection manager at the Florida Museum of Natural History. He also coordinates Common Loon watches every spring. Since 2003, Andy and volunteers have counted over 16,000 loons migrating through Alachua County!
Join Andy at Fred Cone Park to learn more about Common Loons and their migration, including how to identify a Common Loon in flight and how to participate in citizen science. Non-members welcome.
To bring: binoculars, hat/sun protection, water.
