Everyone who is interested in learning about Amateur (Ham) Radio, including kids, can come to Winter Field Day, visit the Gainesville Amateur Radio Society (GARS), and get on the radio to talk with others all across the country, as well as across Alachua County. Participants can talk, try Morse code, and see who can “hear” you.
Activities: Communicating on air using voice and morse code
Families are welcome.

11:00 AM WFD Starts
12:00 Noon Lunch (Chili/Soup buffet)
5:00 PM Regular WFD ends for Saturday
