Santa Fe College presents The Wire Birds

Santa Fe College’s first Visiting Artist of the 2024-2025 season, The Wire Birds, will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 13.

The Wire Birds are a folk group performing original songs with close harmonies and a string quintet:

Dan Stepp, vocals and guitar
Emma Rynear, vocals
Gabi Shapiro, bass
Dan Hardwick, cello
Cate Hancock, viola
Andre Cox, violin
Lauran Roberts, violin

Musical influences include country, blues, jazz, traditional folk music and classical chamber music. They have been performing together for two years and have completed two albums of original compositions. Their first album, The Wire Birds Volume 1, is
available on streaming platforms.
