“Who We Play For” is coming to Alachua County on June 2nd from 11 am-3 pm to perform free heart screenings on children ages 10+ in an attempt to reduce sudden cardiac arrest. The ECGs are read by a volunteer UF pediatric cardiologist & sent back to families within 3-7 days after the test is performed. The test takes roughly 5 mins. Families can sign up their children, people can also sign up to volunteer at the event. We are looking forward to a great turn out for our county!
Participants should refrain from physical activity at least 10-20 minutes prior to their screening to have a resting heart rate.
