Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo: Zookeeper for a Day

Have you ever wondered what a morning in the life of a zookeeper is like? Are you interested in animals and want to know firsthand how zookeepers give amazing care to the animals at the SF Teaching Zoo?
Sign up for our "Zookeeper for a Day" program to work alongside a zookeeper for a morning and learn the ins and outs of zookeeping.
Who can participate?
This program is available for animal enthusiasts ages 9 and up.
Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance. Please fill out the form below requesting your top three dates. You will receive an email with the confirmed date and information regarding preparations for the program.
Availability
This program is offered certain days from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. At this time, Zookeeper for a Day is limited to one person per day. Please see below for current availability.
Due to special events and the nature of the Zoo Animal Technology Program, there are blocks of time where the program is not available so zookeepers can have proper training and prepare for events. Available dates listed below are subject to change.
