Greater Gainesville International Center presents Celebration of Life on Earth Day

  • When: Saturday, April 20, 2024, 10:00 am -  8:00 pm
  • Location: Bo Diddley Plaza 111 E. University Ave Gainesville, FL 32601
  • Cost: Free admission

This event will be a day of community celebration of our planet Earth, as well as a call to action to address the imminent threat climate change poses to all living things on our shared planet. We will have featured speakers, live music, family-friendly activities, community resources, earth-friendly food vendors, and incredible artists.

Our goal is to bring community together and build awareness of the threats climate change poses to our planet, especially our most vulnerable humans and other species, and what we can do about it. We will focus on the intersectional nature of the problem, as well as the solutions. The program will be highly inclusive, with an emphasis on multiculturalism, interfaith alliances, allyship, and collective action.

Live performances by Weeds of Eden, Captive Eddies, Joy Ride Johnny, and Terrence Ho. Food by Reina's Real Italian Ice, Magdalena's Kouzina. Tons of community resources to help you lower your carbon footprint, and so much more!
