Gator Steps for Lung Disease 5k Run/Walk Event

- Cost: Free if you are NOT running. If running $35.00 adults and $20.00 children.
Please join us for our inaugural Gator Steps for Lung Disease benefiting the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine. This 5K walk/run aims to expedite research that could help with understanding various lung diseases and the development of treatments as well as patient education.
The University of Florida Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine and Fowler Lung Foundation are thrilled to collaborate and host this event. We hope our community will join us on April 6th, 2024, from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the UF Cancer & Genetics Research Complex.
Gator Steps for Lung Disease will include a wide range of activities for friends and families. The event will provide a lot of information about lung diseases by UF experts including lung transplants. There will be a kids zone and UF Albert and Alberta will come if there is no UF game. Keith Brantly who is a former UF team Olympic member will run with us. This event is free to attend though there is a small fee to participate in the 5K. Online registration for the event is open until midnight April 5th and then Same-Day registration will be available starting at 7:30 am on the morning of the event.
All proceeds from this event support patients and their families undergoing treatment for pulmonary fibrosis and sarcoidosis at UF Health.
