Persepolis (2007) is a biographical novel turned into an animated film about Marjane Satrapi and her life as she experienced a tense political climate in Iran in the 1970s during her childhood. Sent to Vienna by her parents to seek a better life, she faces struggles adapting to a new culture as a migrant during a politically tumultuous period.

This event is being held at the Gainesville Fine Arts Association, 1314 South Main Street. Overflow parking is located on the street and in the Winn Dixie parking lot.

The Sequential Arts Workshop (SAW) will also be leading a drawing workshop focused on Persepolis the day before the event
