
Bring the family to downtown Gainesville on Saturday, December 6 for A Very GNV Holiday Parade! Starting at noon, enjoy floats, dancers, live bands, and more! Kick off the holiday season in style as the parade heads down West University Avenue. Be sure to stick around after the parade for a variety of family-friendly activities the whole community can enjoy.
The holiday parade is Saturday, December 6 and leads into the holiday dance party and lights celebration. These events are free and open to the public.
Holiday Kids Dance Party at Bo Diddley Plaza 1 pm-3 pm
Holiday Lights Celebration in the Thomas Center Gardens 5 pm-8 pm
Experience the magic of the season at Gainesville's annual Holiday Lights Celebration! Join us for a festive evening of holiday cheer with dazzling lights, seasonal activities and entertainment for all ages.
Event highlights include:
• Garden lighting at 6 p.m.
• Meet and greet with Santa Claus beginning at 6 p.m.
• Holiday kids craft activities
• Lighted tree
• Horse and carriage rides
• Luminarias
• Live entertainment all night long
This event is free and open to the public, with refreshments available for purchase.
The horse and carriage rides are free. The sign-up line will open at 4:30 p.m. with the first ride at 5 p.m. You will be given a wristband with a time to return for your ride.
