Hoggetowne Medieval Faire

“Hoggetowne Goes Downtown” is the theme of the 37th annual Hoggetowne Medieval Faire as the City of Gainesville’s downtown park and nearby venues step back in time with traditional old-world games, medieval wares and merriment.

The City’s premier event celebrating the Middle Ages, creativity and culture is free and open to the public.

When: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, January 27 and Sunday, January 28

Free shuttle and tram rides will ferry attendees from several downtown parking locations. The Hoggetowne Medieval Faire's website includes an interactive parking map and additional information.

The Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention, adjacent to the park, offers free admission this Saturday and Sunday, and feature activities and demonstrations including the Secrets of Alchemy with Lady Archimedes Goodpenny.

First Magnitude Brewing Company is the site of two, free after-hours performances: The New Minstrel Reveue, Friday from 7-9 p.m.; and the Sahnobar Caravan fire show, Saturday from 7:30-9:30 p.m.
