This project aims to provide an inclusive environment for autistic youth and foster their interest in STEM by experiencing hands-on activities in this club/workshops.

We are looking to recruit families with autistic youth (ages 12 to 20) who would like to attend a weekend workshop at the Florida Museum of Natural History. We require parents to remain onsite at all times with their children.

This workshop will run from 10 am-3 pm on Sat Aug 12th and 1 pm-3 pm on Sun Aug 13th (after the Museum for Me event at the museum) and all in a sensory-friendly environment, with opportunities for both solo and collaborative activities. These hands-on STEM activities are designed for low-pressure and personalized learning. As a participant in the project, you will be asked to complete a survey at the beginning and end to provide feedback on your experience. Finally, we will conduct a 15-20 minutes interview with parent and child.

As a thank you, we will provide a $100 Amazon.com gift card to all participants who complete the study.
