Ring in the New Year at the City of Gainesville's Downtown Countdown! The party at Bo Diddley Plaza kicks off at 8 pm on Saturday, December 31 with DJ Wax Atom followed by live band performance with Shoddy Beatles.
For nearly 20 years, The Shoddy Beatles have delighted Gainesville crowds with true to the original interpretations of the Beatles' catalog performed with the energy and intensity of the Cavern itself. Formed by brothers Eric and Travis Atria and Collin Whitlock and later joined by Chris Hillman, the band has brought its lifelong love of the Beatles' music to the local scene with great passion and pride. Over the band's career, it has grown to become one of the largest drawing live music acts in town, regularly selling out clubs of all sizes. While they don't do mop top wigs and costume changes, the band delivers the sound, the feel, and the heart of The Beatles to their loving fans.
