We need your help! A nuisance plant known as water lettuce is swarming Ichetucknee River.
To kick off National Public Lands Day and the start of our monthly water lettuce removal, we are seeking volunteers who aren't afraid of getting wet or muddy to protect our fragile ecosystem. All ages who can follow directions and contribute to a safe working environment are welcome to join. Canoes will be provided. No RSVP is required.
Wear river-appropriate clothing and sun protection, including river/water slippers, sun hats, sunblock and poison ivy block. Swim gear is useful in wading situations.
Drinking water is provided; bring your personal water bottle.
