Park in the parking lot of Palm Point Park or on the road’s shoulder. This will be a group led trip to look for migrant warblers and flycatchers in the live oaks, sweetgums, sugarberry, and cypress trees at the park and then along Lakeshore Drive.
Depending on our success/bird activity at Palm Point, we may continue on to nearby Powers Park to bird along the canal and pier at the south end of the lake.
Difficulty: 1 - less than a mile, dirt covered path
Non-members are always welcome.
Here are some items to consider carrying on any field trip: binoculars (a must), water, bug spray, sunscreen, hat, sturdy shoes, rain gear for sudden downpours, notebook, camera, contact information.
