Annasemble Community Orchestra presents Spring Concert Celebrating Women in Music

Following Mother's day weekend, the Annasemble will present a concert, celebrating women from all over the world. Women composers, such as Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre and Amy Beach will be in the limelight. Award winning mystery author MaryAnna Evans wrote a beautiful song about Florida: "Land of the Flowers" together with David Evans. This will be sung by local folksingers Janet Rucker and her daughter Maggie Rucker, accompanied by the orchestra. We also will welcome the fine young singers from the STAR Center Theatre.
