The Alachua County Brain Bee is a free, all-day neuroscience-based Q&A competition for middle and high school students (age 13-19). The competition is similar to a spelling bee, but instead of words, students demonstrate their knowledge of the human brain with neuroscience trivia.

Questions will be based on information found in the Brain Facts and Neuroscience: Science of the Brain PDF below. Topics covered include neural development, learning and memory, emotions, sensations, movement, stress, aging, sleep, addiction, neuroanatomy, and neural disorders. The top three winners of the Brain Bee will receive cash prizes and the first-place winner will have the opportunity to compete at the National Brain Bee!
