Alachua Audubon Field Trip: Bird Ramble-Prairie Creek Preserve

  • When: Thursday, September 18, 2025,  8:00 am - 11:00 am
  • Location: 7204 SE County Road 234, Gainesville, FL
  • Cost: free

Bird Ramble on Thursday, September 18th, from Prairie Creek Lodge at the Alachua Conservation Trust property. Once you turn into the entrance, follow signs to the lodge and meet at the parking area at 8:30 AM. We will take the Lodge Trail (brown) that passes by the AAS Native Plant Garden and Bird Banding Lab, and Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery, and proceed to the Kathy Cantwell Trail (blue) (see link below for trail map). We will return the way we came so leave early or stay late. This trip will give us a chance to see the garden, the cemetery, and birds we encounter along the way. The trail is usually dry but it gets wetter as we get farther in. This may determine our turnaround point but please wear appropriate shoes. Mosquitoes may also be out so plan accordingly.

There is no need to register.
