The premier of “The Dancing Princesses”, choreographed by SCDT Artistic Director, Judy Benton, will highlight the production. This enchanting fairytale ballet follows four beautiful Princesses as they are placed under a magical spell and dance through an enchanted forest, where they encounter good and evil, fairies and other mystical creatures, and a handsome Prince who solves the mystery and rescues the princesses from the spell of the Evil Fairy. The ballet culminates with a magnificent royal wedding. The exquisite dancing, along with the professional costumes, spectacular sets and exciting special effects will make this ballet a memorable experience to be enjoyed by the entire family.
In addition, to “The Dancing Princesses”, the performance will also showcase the talented dancers of SCDT performing a diversity of newly choreographed works ranging in styles from classical ballet, to contemporary and modern dance. Contributions to the production by special guest performers from Central Florida Ballet (Orlando) further celebrates the diversity of the arts and the collaboration of many performing artists to share the love of their art with our community.
