Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo: Party for the Planet

In honor of Earth Day, we are hosting Party for the Planet: Spring into Action! We will be celebrating right here at the Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo.

This event is perfect for the whole family. We welcome you and your kids to explore the zoo and participate in fun activities such as games, crafts, training demonstrations, keeper talks, animal encounters, and more! Get your face painted for free by Fabulous Faces! Learn how you can spring into action to save animals in your backyard and around the world!

Quiet hour is from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. No music or presentations on microphones. Sensory bags are available for checkout at the ticket window.

Spring into action with Community Reuse and Recycle Day
Join Alachua County Recycles for a spring clean-out at the zoo! From 9 a.m. - noon, you can donate clean, wearable clothing, non-perishable food items, household items in good condition, school/office supplies, and hazardous waste, such as paint, chemicals and old electronics (laptops, etc.).

Santa Fe College Saints Share Wear, Haven Hospice Attic Thrift, Tools for Schools, Santa Fe College Saints Food Share and Alachua County Household Hazardous Waste will be on hand to unload your donations and hazardous waste items at this drive-through event, located in the Zoo's parking lot.

Items will not be accepted at the zoo gate.

Participants will receive a discount voucher for zoo admission while supplies last.
