Aqua Angels Artistic Swimming provides FUN year-round lessons in Alachua County, Florida at the North Central Florida YMCA in Gainesville, with classes for males and females, ages four and over, in competitive and recreational formats, including homeschoolers, AWD, and masters. Artistic Swimming (formerly known as Synchronized Swimming) combines swimming, gymnastics, acrobatics, and dance. Athletes learn leadership skills, develop team camaraderie, and awaken and inspire the CHAMPION within, allowing athletes to have a BLAST performing in shows and competitions. Our Try-it Camp sessions for ages 4-18 allow swimmers to try artistic swimming for a week before making any commitments to the team. Currently, we have a limited-time offer for a FREE Try-it day! Contact us for more information.
Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted and be comfortable in deep water.
Competitive Team - We offer competitive tracks for swimmers ages 4-18 at the Novice, Intermediate, and Junior Olympic levels. Athletes will compete statewide in various competitions between the months of February and July. In addition, Nationals, at times, will be out of state. Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted and be comfortable in deep water.
Recreational Team - Our recreational option allows swimmers ages 4-18 to learn this beautiful sport in a non-competitive format. In addition, athletes in the recreational track will perform with the competitive athletes in various water shows over the season to showcase their achievements.

Homeschool Classes - Our homeschool classes for swimmers ages 4-18 run during the morning/early afternoon, giving homeschoolers the chance to train during the day to accommodate and fulfill their PE requirements. Once swimmers complete a series of homeschool classes, we will sign off for PE credits, and they are welcome to become part of our recreational or competitive team. Must be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted and be comfortable in deep water.
Athletes with Disabilities Classes - Our AWD classes are for swimmers ages 4-18 with cognitive or physical disabilities that desire to learn artistic swimming. Once swimmers complete a series of AWD classes (typically 1-3 months), they are welcome to become part of our AWD recreational or competitive teams. Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted and be comfortable in deep water.
