The courts are calling for a summer of fun and competition! Come join our coed basketball program! Build character and leadership by “Pursuing Victory with Honor” for life skills to use on and off the court. Summer Hoops is about fairness and respect for all players, regardless of skill.
Locations: Due to program growth, games will be held at the Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Multipurpose Center and Lincoln Middle School.
Grades 6th through 8th
Games: Each team will be able to play 1–2 games per week. No games on Fridays
Basketball play-offs will occur the last week of Summer Hoops.
All youth must provide proof of age to participate. Kids interested in participating should bring a signed registration form with them, and be ready to play ball! Forms are also available the night of the game.
Team Registration: In order to register as a team, each team must have a coach who meets City of Gainesville volunteer guidelines. If needed, city staff will help a team find a qualified coach. Does not apply to those registering as an individual player.
