Human Body Systems Tuesday or Thursday
Students will learn about different science topics, conduct experiments, STEM projects, make lapbooks, and do many activities. All while making friends, having fun and learning.
We will be learning about the human body and how it works as a system. Every week we will divide into a new part of the body building models or working on experiments and projects. Some of the activities we will be doing this month is learning to measure and discovering how long the intestines are, we will experiment with the digestion of food by modeling the process of breaking down food. We will experiment with our heart rate while doing activities and siting still, and make models of arteries carrying blood around our bodies and much more. These lessons will be very hands and informative.
Each week we will explore the topic through conducting experiments, observation and data taking, and creating a lapbook.
This unit will be a 6 week course. What we learn one week builds from the previous week. Time can run a bit depending on activity.
