4-H is an non-formal, practical educational program for youth. It is the youth development program of Florida Cooperative Extension, a part of the University of Florida IFAS. Florida 4-H is the place where there’s fun in learning and learning in fun! A 4-H Club usually concentrates on one or more projects such as gardening, woodworking, small animals, food and nutrition, livestock, photography, etc.
4-H members build leadership by electing officers and conducting their own business meetings; work together on community service activities; meet new friends; and most important, have lots of fun.
4-H Citizenship & Leadership:
This program explores leadership and citizenship skills. You will explore citizenship, community development, service, personal development and many other leadership-citizenship topics as you develop important life skills. Each activity guide includes a separate achievement program and activities, that promote learning and interaction with other youth, adult helpers, family members and your community.
