November 1-3, 2024
Living history event commemorates the March 1865 Union army raid on area plantations and the resulting skirmish with local Southern troops that was the only battle of the Civil War to occur in Marion County. Hundreds of Union, Confederate and civilian re-enactors of all ages will gather at the site. The weekend will feature two battle re-enactments, authentic military camps, civilian camp and homestead, period displays, demonstrations and vendors, food concessions, and more. The battle re-enactments will start at 2:00 PM both days.
