Alachua Audubon Field Trip: Sweetwater Wetlands

  • Location: 325 SW Williston Rd, Gainesville, FL 32601
  • Cost: $5/vehicle entrance fee

Meet Tim Hardin at the entrance pavilion. There is a $5/vehicle entrance fee unless you have purchased an annual pass from the City of Gainesville. You can pay for a day pass using the Passport app or cash using the Honor Box if available. With the variety of habitats, many different birds have been spotted recently, including wrens, sparrows, warblers, and of course waders. Join us for the surprises that await!

Difficulty: 2 (greater than 2 miles, paved trail, little shade). You may want sunscreen, water/snacks, and a hat

Non-members are always welcome.

Here are some items to consider carrying on any field trip: binoculars (a must), water, bug spray, sunscreen, hat, sturdy shoes, rain gear for sudden downpours, notebook, camera, contact information.
