Attendees will receive the location to join trip leader Bubba Scales for a field trip to Newnan's Lake North Tract Eagle Watch and cypress swamp slog to Newnan's Lake berm. Note, this trip is by Special Use Authorization granted by SJRMWD. There is no hunting this day.
We will stop at one or more active Bald Eagle nests along the way and discuss Audubon of Florida's EagleWatch program and then slog through the cypress and gum swamp to an emergent windswept berm between the swamp on the upland side and the swamp along the edge of the lake.

The hiking portion of this trip is about a quarter mile off trail through cypress swamp that can be waist deep.
