A park ranger will read tales about wildlife, mindfulness and environmental stewardship then take everyone on a short walk on our stroller-friendly Discovery Trail. We will connect the main ideas from the stories we read to what we see on the trail.
It is suggested that participants on the walk take preventative measures against ticks. We will read inside in an air-conditioned room. The hike afterwards is approximately 0.4 miles long, half unshaded, and unpaved. Please bring water and sun protection.
The program is designed with preschoolers and early elementary learners in mind, but anyone who enjoys a good picture storybook is welcome to join. If you have any questions about story content or accessibility, email.
