Join Bread of the Mighty Food Bank at the inaugural Grove Street Block Party, as we unite the community to combat hunger. This exciting event will transform 10th Avenue into a hub of celebration and philanthropy, coinciding with the Amazing Give, Gainesville’s most impactful day of philanthropy.
Join Bread of the Mighty and our local Grove Street business: Afternoon Restaurant, Cypress & Grove Brewery, Ballatore Strength, Bragging Rights, Coterie Market, Flashbacks Recycled Fashions, Germain's Chicken Sandwiches, Giving Garden, Goldenrod Parlor, Mr. Goodbike, Samurai Skate Shop, Serpentine Plants + Provisions, Signs by Tomorrow, Sunshine Records, Third House Books, Wild Flowers Yoga, Working Food, and a crystalball.
Our goal is to provide 500,000 meals, raising awareness of the issue of hunger that affects too many of our neighbors. The fundraiser will feature an eclectic mix of food trucks, live music, a vintage market, activities for kids, and a silent auction. Attendees can also take eye-opening tours of the food bank, bringing them closer to the heart of our mission.
Local elected officials, musicians Stirling Myles and Samantha Jones, and other prominent community members will contribute to the live fundraising efforts. A stage in front of the Bread of the Mighty Food Bank will serve as the focal point, hosting entertainment and live updates on the fundraising progress.
