Turning Pine into Turpentine and other Miraculous Histories of Black Farmers in Alachua County

Porshè Chiles is an Equity Specialist with the City of Gainesville. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Agricultural Education and Communication at UF.

Porshè comes with 14 years of Global D.E.I experiences, having worked with universities, K-12 school districts, non-profits, and for profit companies. Her work has focused on fostering meaningful cross-cultural and intercultural experiences through experiential learning. Porshè earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Texas at Tyler and her Master’s in Education degree from the University of North Texas.
