What is the Feeding the Hungry Event?

Feeding the Hungry is a community-driven effort to cultivate a safe space for those in need within the Gainesville, FL & Jacksonville, FL Communities to encourage health and wellness within our community. The Feeding the Hungry program is operating under the Health Education and Training Center of Gainesville, Inc (H.E.A.T.) and is sponsored by Panera Bread, Publix, Susie's Affordable 2nds Thrift shop! The community enjoys free wellness such as; free mental health screenings, yoga/meditation, food, and free hair styling. The event is held every month on the last Saturday of the month from 12:00 pm- 3:00 pm.

This event will have local vendors that will conduct FREE wellness services to the community ONCE a month. A this event we offer the following for free:
-Salonist/ Barbers
-Mental Health Therapist
-Yoga Meditation
-Wellness Screenings

THIS IS A KID-FRIENDLY EVENT!

Monthly Event schedule:
12-1 pm Free food distribution
1 pm-3 pm Free clothing distribution
12 pm-2 pm mental health services (2 hour therapy)
1:30 pm-2 pm- Yoga on the lawn
