Pollinator Palooza at First Magnitude

  • When: Saturday, June 27, 2026, 12:00 pm -  4:00 pm
  • Location: First Magnitude Brewing Company 1220 SE Veitch St, Gainesville, FL 32601
  • Cost: Free admission

Plant for pollinators! We’re excited to be at First Magnitude Brewing Co. again for this fabulous festival to support pollinator conservation. Pick up a free plant, grab a bite to eat and try out special beer at Pollinator Palooza.

Pollinators are an extremely important part of the ecosystem but you don’t have to be a researcher to help protect them. Planting native flowering plants in your yard, patio and even in pots can provide vital habitats and food for bees, butterflies, moths and other pollinators. Learn about the importance of native plants, wildflowers and more at this family-friendly event!

Chat with researchers from our Daniels Lab about their conservation work with at-risk butterfly species and the plants they rely on to thrive.

As part of this event, First Magnitude is brewing up 2 special beers highlighting local pollinators with proceeds helping support imperiled butterfly recovery efforts in Florida. The Pollinator Palooza Hazy IPA adds a twist to 4 species we’ve spotlighted in the past: the Monarch, Frosted Elfin, Arogos Skipper and Schaus Swallowtail! The Blue Bee Watermelon Mint Gose is a refreshing brew highlighting the very unique Blue Calamintha Bee!

Each visitor can choose one plant from a variety of native species, available on first come, first served basis until we’re out:
Bushy Seaside Oxeye
Button Rattlesnakemaster
Crimsoneyed Rosemallow
Atlantic St. John’s Wort
Climbing Hydrangea
Purple Passionflower
American Beautyberry
Firebush
