Join us on January 15th as we honor the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. with a special community celebration!

The day kicks off with a celebratory march, starting at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center (25515 NW 6th Ave, Newberry, FL 32669) at 11 am. We'll gather for a group photo before the Newberry Fire Department leads us on a meaningful journey to the Mentholee Norfleet Municipal Building (25420 West Newberry Road, Newberry, FL 32669).

The program begins at 12:00 PM at the Mentholee Norfleet Community Center. We're thrilled to have Marsha Kiner, Executive Director of the Children's Trust of Alachua County, as our keynote speaker. Her remarkable achievements and dedication to our community make her an inspiring voice.

Marsha Kiner is a trailblazer, being the first African American and woman in the history of the Association of Florida Colleges to hold the position of Executive Director/CEO. Her accolades include the Certified Association Executive designation and being named the Association Executive of the Year by the Florida Society of Association Executives in 2020.

Join us for food, beverages, and a meaningful celebration of unity and progress.

Let's march together, reflect, and celebrate the strides we've made and the work yet to be done. See you there!
