Gainesville Orchestra presents Mahler's 5th

Mahler's 5th: An epic journey through one of the most powerful and romantic symphonies ever written. Composed as a tribute to Mahler's meeting his future wife, Alma Schindler, the Fifth Symphony features the "Adagietto" used prominently in Visconti's film "Death in Venice", and his sweeping journey that explores the human experience.
