We are an Alachua County agency that provides free mental health resources to the community.
During the school year, we help Alachua County schools meet the mental health needs of their students. For example, if a student, if a student is engaging in self-harm, we might send a Mobile Response Team to the school to work with the school counselor and the student’s parents/guardians to ensure the student’s safety, help them process their emotions, create a safety plan, and connect the student and family to mental health resources.
We all well-known to school counselors and other mental health professionals in the area. However, some other members of the community might not be aware of us or our services. During the summer, we want to make sure that summer camps and other kid-focused organizations know that we are here and available to help any child experiencing a mental or emotional health crisis, and that any help we provide is free.
