Martin Luther King, Jr Community Center (Newberry)
The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center is a meeting place for the youth of Newberry. They can complete their homework in the on-site computer lab, or play basketball with their friends. There are many activities for residents of all ages. Rec center, basketball courts, swings and a slide.
We're thrilled to introduce our Game Room Incentive Program where we celebrate the achievements of our amazing kids and reward them with game room time.
Program Highlights:
Who: All kids aged 6-16 in the community
What: Earn time in the game room by being recognized for good behavior and accomplishments.
When: Every Friday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM beginning in November.
Where: Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center
Why: Encourage positive behavior, celebrate achievements, and have a blast in our game room!
How to Participate: Be on your best behavior and make a positive impact in our community. Complete tasks or goals set by our program coordinators and your teachers. Collect your game room time by receiving a game room pass signed by your teacher and/or one of our program coordinators and enjoy your well-deserved fun!
Our young achievers will also have a chance to win exciting prizes at the end of the school year and enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments.
