Fun 4 Gator Kids Mombassadors

We are specifically looking for stay-at-home moms residing in Alachua County who want to earn some money by representing Fun 4 Gator Kids at local events. This includes events Fun 4 Gator Kids hosts as well as community events Fun 4 Gator Kids attends with a booth.

We plan to hire 2-3 moms for this position Only qualified candidates will be contacted to set up an interview. We are looking for moms who LOVE Fun 4 Gator Kids, use the site all the time, and have passion, pride and enthusiasm for representing Fun 4 Gator Kids in the community.

Fun 4 Gator Kids Hosted Events Responsible for representing Fun 4 Gator Kids at our own events. Duties include welcoming Fun 4 Gator Kids families as they arrive, taking notes on which families who registered did and did not show up, and assisting families and the event venue as needed. Mombassadors MAY bring their child/ren to any of these events so long as their attendance does not impede your ability to perform their duties. Ideally, the children in attendance would be able and interested in participating in the activities at the event.

  • Playgroups - These take place primarily Monday-Friday between 9am-1pm and are geared to ages 18 months - 4 years old.
  • Homeschool Meetups - These take place primarily Monday-Friday between 9am -4pm and are geared to elementary and middle school home-schooled students.
  • Try It Days - These may take place during or after the school day or on weekends and are geared to elementary and middle school students wanting to try a new sport or after-school activity.
  • Family Day/Nights - These are scheduled on school holidays, week nights, and weekends and are geared for families with children of all ages.
  • Fun 4 Gator Kids Kids Zones and Signature Events - These are larger weekend events that Fun 4 Gator Kids is primarily responsible for hosting/running. Examples are Boo at the Zoo Kids Zone, Glow in the Dark Night, and Chomp the Block at Celebration Pointe.

Community Events- These are events hosted by community organizations where Fun 4 Gator Kids has a booth. These events are almost exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays, and can range from 2 hours to an all day or all weekend event. It is not recommended to bring children to most events unless your children are old enough to entertain themselves.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and breaking down the tent/tables/chairs and marketing items, decorations and activities
  • Performing a free activity for the kids that stop by the booth such as temporary tattoos, scratch off ornaments, arts and crafts, etc.
  • Letting families know about Fun 4 Gator Kids, and encouraging people to sign up for the email newsletter/entering a giveaway at the booth
  • Answering questions about Fun 4 Gator Kids and places to go and things to do around Gainesville.

Pay is $15/hour. You will also be reimbursed for any entrance or parking fees you incur as related to the event you work. We will share upcoming dates for events in a private group, and mombassadors may sign up for the events that they are available to work. Events will be assigned on a first come first served basis. Number of events and total number of hours will vary each month. Part of the compensation offered is tickets and other trade items as they come available. It is not required to accept any items offered, but the value of all items accepted will be reported as income.
