Voices Rising Community Chorus: Sing USA 250th Anniversary Concert

Voices Rising Community Chorus will present a special concert in celebration of our country’s 250th birthday. “Sing USA 250th” will take place on Saturday, July 4 at 4:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church. The program features a wide variety of music ranging from “America, the Beautiful” to “This Land Is Your Land” and from “Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor” with cello and narrator to “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere” complete with lanterns.

Voices Rising is a combined adult and youth community chorus of over 100 voices located in Gainesville, Florida. The chorus, open to singers age 8 and up, was founded in 2013. Singers join for the pleasure of singing with others and the challenge of learning a wide variety of choral music. The chorus presents free concerts at least twice a year, in the spring and fall, with a percentage of the proceeds given to selected local charities at least once per season.
