The Gainesville Fine Arts Association presents its annual GFAA Artist Studio Tour during the weekend of May 30th and 31st, 2026, with a Kickoff Party the evening before at the GFAA Main Gallery.

On Friday, May 29th, 2026, this year’s expansion of the annual Artist Studio Tour takes place at the GFAA Gallery. The GFAA board and staff will not just be hosting a kickoff party this year. For the first time, GFAA will present an exhibit of works of all thirty-one artists who are participating in the Studio Tour weekend.

“The GFAA Artist Studio Tour is a unique opportunity for artists to share their complete body of work with art lovers and collectors. Art brings people together, prompts new connections and refreshes friendships. We all need the power of art to connect us right now,” shares Sue Kelman, a returning artist this year and former president of the GFAA board of directors.

Artwork created by the Studio Tour artists will be on display in the Main Gallery as the seasonal Friday night Artwalk buzzes outside and throughout downtown Gainesville. In addition to the Studio Tour artists, an exhibit by Oak Hammock residents, Art in the Hammock, will also be open for viewing. Both exhibits will close on June 19th.

Artwalk Gainesville is a self-guided art experience of local galleries, artist studios, and cultural events in beautiful Gainesville, Florida on the last Friday of each month from 7-10pm Artwalk Director Frank Curtis has participated the Studio Art Tour and “really enjoy visiting my artistic friends. As the director of Artwalk, we work hand-in-hand with venues like the GFAA.”

The Studio Tour Kickoff Party will be held at the GFAA Gallery on Friday, May 29th, from 6 pm to 8 pm, and refreshments will be sponsored by Five Star Pizza, First Magnitude Brewing Company, Vine Sourdough Bakery, East End Eatery, and Publix. The Gallery will remain open until 10 pm for Artwalk attendees.

Then, on Saturday and Sunday, May 30th and 31st, 2026, these thirty-one artists will display their work and processes to the public at 24 different sites throughout the Gainesville area for the annual GFAA Artist Studio Tour. Artist studios will be open each day from 10am to 5pm. Maps and artist information are available at www.gfaastudiotour.org. Hyatt Place, Downtown Gainesville, is the host hotel for this weekend long event.

Paper maps are also available at the Gallery.
