City of Newberry: Lexington & Concord Battle Re-Enactment

Hosted by Newberry City Mayor Tim Marden, this will be a thrilling tribute re-enactment of the Battles of Lexington & Concord MA, which kicked off the American Revolution.

This production is part of our City's ongoing celebrations of America's 250th Birthday all year. Please join us in downtown Newberry for this event during the, and in conjunction with, our Main Street Spring Festival.

The tribute will kick off with Paul Revere riding through downtown. Next will be a re-enactment of "The Shot Heard 'Round The World" as British and Minute Men meet face to face for the first time. This will be culminate and conclude with a clash of the two sides at the historic North Bridge.

All will take place on Newberry Rd, right in downtown. Bleachers will be provided on a first com first served basis. Sound will be projected up and down the sidewalks to ensure a close quarter immersive experience.

We’re rolling out a year full of red, white, and woohoo as we honor America’s 250th Birthday right here in Newberry! From history coming to life to parades, fireworks, and patriotic fun, these events are all about celebrating freedom, community, and our love for this country.
