High Springs Museum Veterans Day Service

1918: The armistice to end World War I was signed at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.It is a day to honor and thank all those who have served in the United States Armed Forces, both living and deceased, though the focus is primarily on honoring living veterans.

Official Name Change: President Eisenhower signed the bill on June 1, 1954, officially renaming the holiday from Armistice Day to Veterans Day.

Veterans Day, November 11th at 9 AM, at the Farmers Market Pavilion, the High Springs Historical Society will honor our Veterans with a traditional Veterans Day Service.

We are featuring the Sante Fe Brass Quintet. They will play patriotic music including the Star Spangle Banner.
We will have a guest speaker and other events during the service.
