  • When: Wednesday, October 29, 2025,  5:30 pm -  7:00 pm

  • Cost: free

The Children’s Trust of Alachua County is investing $1.5 million over the next three years to strengthen literacy for children ages 0–18. Alachua County is also investing in adult literacy and your firsthand experience matters. Please join a community listening session to help create the greatest possible impact.

For tutors, teachers, & literacy advocates:
- What barriers do students and families face when trying to access literacy support?
- What additional tools, training, or coordination would make your work more effective?
- What resources would help children and adults make even greater progress?
- Success stories: What programs/resources/camps/etc. have moved the needle?

FOR PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS:
- No one understands a child’s needs better than you. What support would help most?
- A knowledgeable person to attend IEP/504 meetings with you?
- Access to affordable reading or speech evaluations?
- More tutoring opportunities beyond what PEAK and other programs currently provide?
- Stories you'd like to share about what is working for your child?

When & Where

- Wednesday, October 30, 5:30–7:00 PM — Santa Fe High School Auditorium
