Meet Nate Kiker, First Officer at University Air Center Charter, sharing how to build a career as a commercial pilot this Tuesday, October 7th!
- What education and skills are needed for this job?
- What’s a typical day like?
- What challenges come with this career?
- How do you overcome the downside of this job?
- How will this career sustain into the future?
Nate loves what he does, especially the office view from 10,000 feet!
In his presentation, Nate will explain the training and progression through all the stages of a pilot’s qualifications.
His advice?
Stick through the hard parts of flight school and remember that everyone learns differently, so you may not progress as fast as someone else, but that has no reflection on you as a pilot. The biggest thing is safety at all times.
Being outgoing and friendly is as important as your piloting skills. It’s who you know that will get you where you want to go.
Nate is presenting with his wife, Lauren Kiker, a Legal Assistant Claims Examiner at UF Health Self Insurance.
Come find out how Nate & Lauren are launching their careers.
Your teen will be here before you know it!
