Sponsored by : Russell & Brenda Robinson | Rick & Aase Thompson | Dharma Endowment Foundation
Tiffany Lu returns to our stage to lead the UF Symphony Orchestra after her electrifying performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2. Alongside her, violinist Aubree Oliverson will perform Barber’s beloved and dazzling Concerto for Violin with expressive elegance and commanding energy. Inspired by the theme of dreams, the program opens with an impressionistic reverie on mythical icons, and the evening culminates with Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique. This imaginative masterpiece is emotionally charged with an artist’s obsessive passions and descent into hallucination — it’s no wonder it remains one of orchestral music’s most thrilling live experiences.
