Meet trip leader Tim Hardin at the San Felasco State Park Moonshine Creek parking area for a fall migration birding walk.
We'll cross the street to hike the Spring Grove Loop (Yellow) Trail and search for late fall migrants, including bay-breasted warblers and gray-cheeked thrush. Wear comfortable hiking shoes, and bring water, bug and tick repellent, and binoculars.
Carpool if possible as parking at this location can spill into the street.
Difficulty: 3 - 4ish miles round trip with some significant changes in elevation (for Florida)
Non-members are always welcome.
Here are some items to consider carrying on any field trip: binoculars (a must), water, bug spray, sunscreen, hat, sturdy shoes, rain gear for sudden downpours, notebook, camera, contact information.
