Matheson History Museum: Sarah’s Birthday Bash

Join us as we celebrate Sarah Hamilton Matheson’s birthday! We are excited to welcome local jazz band MoonDancer for an afternoon of music from the front porch of the Matheson home in celebration of the birthday of our namesake, Sarah Matheson. Sarah was the last resident of the historic Matheson House, which was bequeathed to the Museum on her death in 1996.
This year we are adding tabling community organizations in Sweetwater Park, the Grind Coffee Truck, and a free pollinator friendly plant giveaway by the Florida Museum of Natural History’s Daniels Lab.
Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the music. And, of course, there will be a birthday cake!
Schedule
• 10 am-4 pm: Community Organizations tabling in Sweetwater Park
• 10 am-1 pm: Pollinator Plant Giveaway with the Florida Museum of Natural History in Sweetwater Park
• 12 pm-3 pm: Live Music by MoonDancer on the front porch of the Matheson House
